The Western Regional Coalition to End Violence (WRCEV) is a partnership of representatives from government agencies, community groups, schools, churches, service organizations, concerned individuals and volunteers who live and/or work in Western Newfoundland.  Our Coalition works in partnership with the Provincial Violence Prevention Initiative to increase awareness of all forms of violence, their impact, service needs, and how we can work together to promote safe, violence-free communities.  There are seven local coordinating committees (LCC’s) operating under the umbrella of our Coalition throughout Western Newfoundland.  LCC’s exist in Port aux Basques, Burgeo, Bay-St-George, Corner Brook/Bay of Islands, Deer Lake, Cow Head/Rocky Harbour, and Port Saunders (for information on how to contact your local committee see Local Contacts).
